Did you know that from age twenty-five to sixty-five, we spend 73,600 hours at our work? And about 87 percent of Americans dislike their jobs? That means that 87 percent of Americans spend 73,600 hours in their lifetime doing something they don’t like. What a massive loss that is! Because every part of our lives has an influence on every other part of our lives, this could make for a lot of unhappy people.
The reason I created Blastation, Interactive Life Coach to support you in planning your entire life goals, visions and dreams, rather than your career alone, is because every part of your lives is connected. You cannot be completely at peace in your personal life and relationship if you’re miserable at work. And, at the same time, it’s hard to be supersonically flying in your career when your relationships are on the rocks.
My point is that job dissatisfaction affects our society as a whole on a much broader and deeper level than we realize. If you’re stuck or burdened in your career, most likely you’ll bring that pain home to your family. And just by sharing space with you, they’ll experience your misery, too.
Society has taught us that the most important thing when entering he workforce is education and job security. However, there were a few minor issues left out of that concept, such as:
Is this job inspiring?
Does it help us to become enriched human beings?
Most job descriptions do not include these monumental aspects. Take a look at your current job situation and ask yourself the above questions. I personally believe that if your spirit is not growing and evolving, it is dying.
Can you imagine…
1. Having a career that motivates you to get out of bed and off to work each morning feeling excited and grateful for the day ahead?
2. Setting your own work schedule?
3. Having time for vacations and adventures?
4. Being paid for your special passions and gifts?
5. Having no cap on the amount of money you can make?
6. Taking ownership of your life and your future?
7. Having a dream career that is prosperous in your heart as well as your bank account?
If these questions intrigue and excite you, then there is no time like the present to start moving forward with your dreams. If you desire to move these ideas from your imagination to reality, then let’s start taking the steps to make them happen. The first step is to truly grasp the concept that
once you have an idea, and you start to set it into motion, an energetic shift will begin to happen around you. Doors will start to open, opportunities will arise, and people will come into your life that will have the answers you’ll need. The possibilities are endless. Your only requirement—intention and action, every single day.
And I know you can do it!
I welcome your comments, ideas and insights on this blog and look
forward to hearing from you.
